Cyprus Tax Return 2025: Deadline, Tax Rates & Calculator
Last updated: September 2026
This page summarises the practical points for the Cyprus 2025 personal income tax year: who normally has to file, the tax bands that apply, when the return is due and what to prepare before you submit through TAXISnet.
Who generally has to file for 2025
Individuals with taxable income in Cyprus are generally required to submit a personal income tax return. In recent years the Cyprus Tax Department has also required returns from individuals below the previous income threshold, so most people with Cyprus-sourced income, employment income or self-employment income should expect a filing obligation. Cyprus tax residents are generally assessed on worldwide income, subject to exemptions and special rules; non-residents are generally assessed on Cyprus-sourced income only.
Cyprus income tax bands for 2025
| Taxable income | Rate |
|---|---|
| €0 – €19,500 | 0% |
| €19,501 – €28,000 | 20% |
| €28,001 – €36,300 | 25% |
| €36,301 – €60,000 | 30% |
| Over €60,000 | 35% |
These bands apply to tax years up to and including 2025. They should not be confused with the new bands introduced by the 2026 Cyprus tax reform. If you are looking ahead, select the relevant year inside the calculator.
The 2025 filing deadline
The current deadline for the 2025 individual income tax return is 31 October 2026. Deadlines are occasionally extended by decree, so confirm the current date with the Cyprus Tax Department before you rely on it.
Submitting through TAXISnet
Personal income tax returns are submitted electronically through the Cyprus Tax Department systems (TAXISnet / Tax For All). You need an active account and your tax identification number. Registration can take time, so do not leave it to the final days before the deadline.
What to prepare
- Employment income certificates and payslip totals for the year
- Self-employment or business income and allowable expenses
- Rental income and related deductions
- Dividends and interest, including defence contribution details
- Social insurance, GHS and approved contribution amounts
- Donations, life insurance and other claimed deductions
- Details of days spent in Cyprus if your residency position is not obvious
Calculating tax is not the same as filing a return
A calculation gives you an estimate of what your liability may look like. A tax return is the official declaration you submit to the Cyprus Tax Department. Zeno FinLab helps you with the first part only — it does not prepare, submit or file tax returns, and it is not connected to the Cyprus Tax Department.
Estimate your 2025 Cyprus tax
The Cyprus tax calculator 2025 estimates income tax, social insurance, GHS and defence contribution from the figures you enter, and explains how the result was reached.
