Cookies Notice

This notice explains how Zeno FinLab, the financial intelligence toolkit, uses cookies and similar browser storage at zeno-fin.com.
Essential storage (always on)
Essential browser storage cannot be disabled because it is necessary for Zeno FinLab to remember your choices, keep you signed in and preserve in-progress work on your device:
- Consent record — retains a device-specific reference, decision times, the notice version/text and separate analytics/advertising choices. A later withdrawal preserves the earlier acceptance evidence.
- Local tool data — retains in-progress figures and preferences for the Zeno FinLab Healthcheck and other available planning tools on this device.
- Session and preferences — keeps you signed in and retains your in-progress figures and savings goal locally.
Advertising
Google AdSense is disabled on this version of the site: its script does not load and no advertising requests are made, regardless of your choice or region. A Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) with the required IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) integration has not been verified. Our custom preferences are not a certified CMP. Non-personalised ads can still require consent; a pause or non-personalisation flag is not consent.
- Accept all — enables optional analytics described below, not advertising.
- Only essential — neither advertising nor optional analytics loads or sends events.
Analytics
Google Analytics: If you choose “Accept all”, Google Analytics may set analytics cookies to help us understand aggregate website usage and improve Zeno Fin. We do not send financial figures, tax inputs, uploaded-file contents, AI prompts or report contents to Google Analytics. Google receives page URLs without arbitrary query strings or hashes, referrers without query strings or hashes, permitted UTM campaign labels, tool/event names and Google’s analytics identifiers and technical request data (such as IP address and browser details). Google advertising storage, ad-user-data and ad-personalisation signals remain denied. If you choose “Only essential”, Google Analytics does not load and analytics cookies are not set.
First-party analytics ID: If you choose “Accept all”, Zeno stores a randomly generated visitor ID in your browser's local storage to measure page and tool visits and estimated active time on tools, in Zeno's own database. It is not an essential cookie, contains no personal details and is not shared with Google or other third parties. If you later sign up or sign in, earlier activity recorded with this ID is linked to your account. Choosing “Only essential” (or resetting your choice) removes it, and no such ID is created. Zeno does not use IP addresses or fingerprinting for this.
First-party page/tool events and estimated active time are recorded only after analytics acceptance, including when signed in. They include page paths, event/tool labels, time, a visitor ID and, where signed in, an account reference. They are processed in Zeno’s hosted service; the visitor ID and account reference are not sent to Google. Sign-in alone does not authorize this measurement.
Payment provider
When you open checkout, our Merchant of Record Paddle may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. These are governed by Paddle's own privacy terms.
Managing your choice
You can reopen settings without changing your current choice, or withdraw optional analytics immediately. Reset withdraws consent and reopens the banner without losing tool work. Changes apply in other open tabs. We disable Google measurement and remove accessible analytics/ad cookies and the visitor ID where possible. Previously sent data is not recalled; third-party or HttpOnly cookies cannot be removed by this site. Use your browser settings for those cookies. Previously linked activity is not automatically deleted; contact us to exercise deletion rights.
